Lennie’s rabbits

Standard

The rabbits bound around him, happily nibbling on the food that he had provided. He was gleeful. The little wooden was exactly how George had told him it would be, they both had their own room, there was even a room for Candy. He hadn’t seen them in a while, but maybe he had, maybe he had just forgotten. He sits down in the grass surrounded by his rabbits, petting them, they were so soft, there fur streamed through his fingers, it was like velvet. No matter how hard he petted them, they still carried on hopping, they didn’t die, they nudged his hand, wanting more of his love and affection.

The squeaky floorboards on the porch groaned under Lennie’s weight. He loved it here, he made sure he tended everything in case George came back and gave him hell. He sat down on the porch, falling asleep watching his rabbits hopping and enjoying the sunshine and feed.

Author’s note
Woah. First fiction piece on the blog, be nice. I know it’s not the best, but this is only draft 1.5, ahah. I probably will redraft and add to it, when I have more time. Tell me what you think, good or bad. But please give me improvements, not just – ‘This is shit’

Byyyyee!

Writing (contains Of Mice and Men SPOILERS)

Standard

I finished reading ‘Of Mice and Men’ this afternoon. I really enjoyed it – full review will be coming but I was thinking about the way Lennie dies and I was truly sad. I am going to write about him and the rabbits that he so desperately wanted and needed to love. I think I’m going to watch the film next. It’s the first book in a while that hasn’t disappointed, I will post what I write on here in a bit.
